The month of February promises it all: In Latin Februare means clean. That may explain why lots of people become interested in fasting and perceive the wish for inner cleansing.
When we fast, we clean the organism and allow the body to regenerate for a period of time. The cells shut down their energy production. We notice this after defecation and the first cleansing days. In these days we are a bit tired and feel that the whole organism is working on detoxification.
These processes take place in nature. In winter walks we pass “bare” trees. These trees do nothing than a kind of fasting. The leaves have dropped in the fall. In winter, minerals and precious energy from the ground are collected and trees concentrate new powers for the creation of new branches, leaves and flowers in spring. When fasting we purify our body not only, but also collect new life forces.
Because we do not need to prepare any meals during fasting and do not need to go shopping, we automatically have more time to care for our bodies and our minds. If you join a fasting group you can enjoy together walks in nature, and/or alkaline foot baths or pursue various relaxation techniques such as Yoga.
When we walk in the period of fasting, we breathe deeper and are more conscious because we perceive the fresh air and nature more intensely. Afterwards, we feel refreshed and invigorated.
During a foot bath we can brush our feet in the direction of elimination and massage the muscles. We can stimulate our foot reflexology with light pressure to help our body in the cleaning process. Relaxation techniques such as autogenic training, yoga or gymnastic exercises bring our minds to rest and free us from the many thoughts about our daily activities.
In the early days some people experience complaints during fasting such as headaches and joint pains, bad breath and increased sweating. Such side effects are called healing crisis, but not everybody necessarily has them. If you use the Dr. Jentschura 3-step method, these crises can be greatly reduced or even avoided. What happens after fasting?
After fasting, the first days are very important, and we should take plenty of time. The organism must get used again to a normal diet. We should start with “easily to digest” foods and increase the amount slowly.
A juice fast is also the ideal introduction to a fundamental change in our eating habits. Cook in a different way. Try to eat mainly alkaline-forming food. Start step by step, and change little by little your meals!
Bring a change in your office or work life: instead of chocolate bar you snack walnuts, cashews, almonds and cranberries. Nibble a carrot, white radish or a fresh cucumber. Eat dinner with no opulent servings, but steamed vegetables, baked potatoes, soup or stew.
People who do not want to fast still can do something good: Try to renounce one day a week on cereal and animal protein and eat only fruits and vegetables. Drink more water or herbal teas than normal. This already achieves a lot.

Our skin!

Our skin is the sentinel of our health. Only 1 millimetre thick, the skin streams with blood vessels, hormones, lymphatic capillaries, healthy lipids, waterproofing oils, and beneficial flora. It breathes and absorbs sunlight, spinning the warm rays of the sun into vitamin D. Deeply connected to our brain, our skin is a vast interface between the outside and inside of the body. It defines for us what is “out there” and what is “in here.” Our stalwart skin does all this, and it is beautiful.

We tend to take our skin for granted, trespassing and compromising its health with indiscriminating choices: lethal lotions and polluted potions, fake food and tainted tap water, chemical crèmes and synthetic sun-screens. In lieu of this, let’s take a moment to attune ourselves to our amazing skin.

The ancient Greek and Romans thought highly of the skin; their legendary baths are monuments to the importance of skin care for good health. The bathing ritual was luxurious and relaxing, consisting of soaks in hot and frigid pools and saunas. The very first stop for a bather was the strigling room. A strigil is a metal spoon-like tool that was coated in oil and brushed across every inch of skin. This process cleaned the skin and readied it for the rest of the baths.

I enthusiastically embrace this ancient brushing ritual, though I have swapped the metal strigils in favor of brushing my skin with natural bristle brushes. Dry brushing involves coating a dry brush with a drop of botanical oil and then very gently brushing every inch of skin, like butterflies on the skin – a very light touch. Always brush in the direction of the heart, and avoid brushing damaged or inflamed skin.
Dry brushing is so worth the 2 minutes it takes before a bath or shower. Of the many benefits, here are the top three reasons why I dry brush:

Love Your Lymph
Dry brush your skin for the love of your lymphatic system because a flowing lymphatic system helps support healthy immune response and circulation. Lymph fluid bathes all of the cells of the body with oxygen and nutrients and carries away wastes and excess fluid.

The lymph system is right under the surface of your skin, comprised of a vast network of superficial capillaries that lead to larger collection vessels throughout the body. These capillaries consist of loosely overlapping cells so that they are permeable to fluids, larger molecules, pathogens, and other smaller cells. Fluid from intracellular spaces drains into the lymph capillaries, is transported through lymph nodes, and then flows into large ducts on either side of the spine. From there, the fluid along with the waste and unneeded cellular “stuff” is passed into blood stream to be processed and eliminated.

Unlike the circulatory system that has the heart for a pump, the circulation of lymph fluid relies on physical motion to get it moving. Muscle contractions massage the fluid along through the capillaries in the skin. Inactivity and loss of muscle tone are major obstacles for healthy lymph flow. The lymph fluid can be roused by the dry and stiff bristles of a brush gently swept across the skin. The tiny muscles in your skin, the same muscles that make your hair stand up when you are cold, are stimulated by the motion of the brush and provide gentle contractions that get the lymph moving.

Botanical oils are an awesome way to enhance dry brushing.

Simply pour 1-2 drops of the oils on the palm of your hand, and then glide a dry brush across your palm coating the bristles. Then gently, brush your body starting with your toes all the way up to your head. Remember to always brush toward the heart.

Amplify Blood Circulation
Just two minutes of whole-body dry brushing boosts blood supply (both in volume and area) to the skin for an hour. Blood vessels weave through the skin in an elegant tapestry delivering vitamins, minerals, proteins, fats, and fluids that build and sustain it. Blood also picks up the vitamin D made in skin cells and delivers to the rest of the body. Stagnant blood supply to the skin leads to loss of vitality, paleness, and a cascade of complexion and immune issues.

If you feel very healthy you can do even 3 cleanses a week but if you are not very healthy just do 1-2 in the first month.

Questions concerning Alkaline Foods, Gum Care and the Function of Water/Alkaline Drinks

1.  Why does the book say to drink low mineral water?   I like to drink water on the alkaline side (Fiji, Evian, Essential) or artesian well water and I sometimes add an alkaline ph booster to water which is purified such as Danani or Aquafina.  Alkaline water has more minerals which should be good, should it not?  Do we have to get our minerals from food and not water?

 

You are on the right track….  Dr. h.c. Jentschura recommends to drink low mineralized water (which usually is slightly alkaline) because of the 2 functions of the water: to hydrate our body and to help the body to eliminate toxins and acids.

 

Usually the ph booster just adds mineral salts to the water – which is just positive on a short term. If I have a heart attack or feel strong pain or suffer from a serious disease I would drink the |Alkaline Drink at 10.00 am, 4.00 pm and 10.00 pm (made with AlkaBath, Baking Soda or any ph booster and water) to boost my bloods ph-level. Then my bloods starts to transport oxygen and nutrition much better again, so my life sustaining functions work again!

 

The recommended times are the times of alkaline floods in the body – just like the tides of the ocean.

 

But: the Alkaline Drink is just a fire made with straw. Since mineral salts just boost the ph-level of the blood and the urine they are not able to help us long term.

 

Because only plant-derived organic minerals are able to chemically bind a toxin/acid and then a mineral salt is created. The body easily is able to eliminate mineral salts if all organs are working fine.

 

We have to realize that the overflow of acids (due to a stressful lifestyle and acidic generating diet) is creating all body degeneration.

 

In order to reverse this process we created the Alkaline Life Style:

Offer the body an abundance of organic minerals (with WurzelKraft, MorgenStund, Spirulina and lots of fresh, green foods), 

Help the body cleanse (e.g. with AlkaHerb but also Colon/Kidney Cleansing so all nutrition can be easily absorbed).

Good fresh air and refreshing body movement is very important too.

Also we recommend Cranio-Sacral Healing Sessions to heal old childhood wounds. 

But a deep and nourishing body-mind-soul connection is crucial: Creating love is crucial. Believing in healing and goodness is the base for change.

 

2.  I have been having trouble loosing metal fillings and crowns in the last couple years.  I use a toothpaste called Claybrite which has clay it in (a detoxer) and of course I have recently been drinking the 7×7 tea. 

Do you think there is any chance that these products are trying to eliminate non-natural elements from my mouth, i.e. metal fillings?

 

Well, what you mean with metal fillings. I hope not Amalgam. Because that is very toxic and even for bitten in some countries e.g. like Sweden.

 

Gold or ceramic crones are much better and more natural….

 

I highly doubt that you loose the fillings because of Claybrite or AlkaHerb!

 

I found some good tips for gum problems: Clean your gums and teeth with AlkaBath very carefully and let is work for some time in your mouth. The high alkalinity of the bath salt kills all germs. 

Also tea tree oil is very good for gums and tooth care.

Colloidal silver is a medieval antibiotic remedy.

The alkaline lifestyle diet is one of the most revolutionary diets to grow in popularity in the past few years!
